Driving Drunk And The Punishment

When I was in high school (under drinking age) I would over hear kids talking about the goal of the weekend is to get drunk. Now I hear people brag about drinking underage. This is at a time I have impressionable teens. I have tried my best to let them know that under no circumstance should they drive drunk. Some people get by driving drunk most of their lives and don't hurt anyone. Others kill someone the first time. Then they would have to live with that reality the rest of their lives. Not only does this hurt them, but the entire family. Not a pretty picture. I think laws should be tough and lawyers not be tolerated. They should not be able to sweet talk judges to lessen the penalty.
