I received this back when I complained to them about their choice of advertising on MTV, I basically told them it was offensive....

Max:

Thank you for sharing your comments regarding our placement of advertisements on
MTV. Please be assured that the relationship we have with our customers is
extremely important to us and we apologize for any dissatisfaction.

In order to reach specific audiences with our messages, we do advertise in a
variety of environments that are relevant to our different customer segments.
However, it is certainly never our intent to offend any of our customers.

Like any form of art or entertainment, MTV’s programming may not be to
everyone’s taste, but it is very much within the mainstream of American popular
culture. Moreover, through programs such as "Choose or Lose" and "Fight for your
Rights," MTV actively promotes the importance of education, political awareness
and empowerment. Additionally, it’s also important to remember that all
programming is rated, so parents can knowledgeably control what is being watched
by their children.

But whether it’s MTV – or any other broadcast partner – we work closely with
them to review and screen programming opportunities and select only those that
are consistent with the values of our brand. When we learn of content that is
inconsistent with our standards, we will not advertise on that particular
program or episode.

McDonald’s is also a member of the Family Friendly Forum, which works on an
ongoing basis to develop family friendly programming.

So, please, be assured we will continue to be very diligent in upholding our
brand values. We will always search for entertaining, positive programming for
the placement of our commercials.

We value your comments and can assure you that your feedback will be shared with
our Marketing team for their ongoing evaluation of our advertising placements.

Thank you again for sharing your feelings with us.

In your reply you stated:

"Moreover, through programs such as "Choose or Lose" and "Fight for your Rights," MTV actively promotes the importance of education, political awareness and empowerment."

This is wrong. MTV does not promote importance in education, political awareness and empowerment. It promotes it's own agenda. It is EXTREMELY bias in regards to political awareness. It does not educate, it only spreads socialistic/communistic/hedonistic propaganda. MTV is NOT mainstream America. It is FAR from mainstream America.

McDonalds cannot be for families and advertise on MTV. Your company has chosen poor bed partners.

Good Day.

McDonald's biggest sin is making people fat. Please take this into consideration. http://www.rmhc.org/ They are a great organization taking care of kids in situations that are eyesores of our society.

If you are really upset, you should attack VIACOM, which is the owner and therefore the source of MTV, MTV2, Nickelodeon, BET, TV Land, NOGGIN, VH1, Spike TV, CMT, Comedy Central, Showtime, The Movie Channel, Flix, Sundance Channel, CBS, and CBS Sports.

How many organizations and companies advertise on these stations? Just don't watch TV anymore.

Seeing how you usually post threads like this, I'm surprised you didn't link SuperSized Fries with Planned Parenthood

I'm sorry that you are not wise to the way things work. Complaining to Viacom will not cause anything to happen. If you want to make a difference, you have to take money out of their pockets. Viacom makes it's money from advertisers. Advertisers pulling their sponsorship gets changes made.

I'm not supprised that you fail to link that.

Take a little time to use some critical thinking.

Maybe you should stand up for your faith instead of insulting a fellow Catholic.
