The Bus Station
I always feel closer to and more confident in the Lord during spring and summer, and in autumn and winter I tend to feel like my focus and inspiration are lacking. Part of this surely could be emotional, but I don't know... it definitely affects me on a deep level throughout the entirety the season. Or maybe I'm just nuts. What about you? MissyP89
Definitely. My highs and lows tend to come during spring and winter, respectively...but I think that might be because of the psychological/emotional toll the weather takes on you. Plus, Advent is in winter and Easter/Pentecost in spring...so it could be liturgically oriented as well.
txdinghysailor
winter is probably my best season spiritually because i'm not doing anything. every other season i'm really busy and it's hard to find time for prayer etc.
Carnanc
its amazing how much the seasons affect my mood. here in Minnesota there are 4 really distinct seasons, its amazing.
icelandic_iceskater
winter and early spring I tend to be drier, but that may be tied into a lack of vitamin d and the psychological stuff that sometimes comes along with that. Summers are usually really good! I'm outdoors working alone full time, so I have plenty of time to think & pray. & I'm sure stuff like Steubie and catholic work camps help too hmm... interesting topic... CatherineM
I've never really thought about it. I think I'm most spiritual during the Lenten/Easter season. Maybe I should observe Lent all year around.
Galloglasses' Alt
No. All seasons are the work and the glory of God, for even kings change the covers of their footstools from time to time. In this sense they do affect, but all of them positively.
eagle_eye222001
Never noticed a difference with regard to seasons.
HisChildForever
Summer is definitely my high point. Simply put, no classes in the summer equals way less stress. Stress is a terrible distraction. The weather is also beautiful, and it's just very relaxing.
TotusTuusMaria
I don't know about spiritually, but just everything about me is a bit more "down" in the winter months and this affects me spiritually. I love the fall and winter more then summer and spring though.
Archaeology cat
Well, I said yes, but really I should clarify. My mood is often reflective of it being sunny. So if it's sunny in winter, then I'm probably doing OK. Of course, I like it much more when the days become longer. And I find that I seem to pray more if I'm outside and it's sunny, than if I'm sitting inside or it's rainy/dreary. This year I haven't noticed being down in the winter, though. Ziggamafu
We are human after all. Our minds and bodies and souls are interconnected in some way; when one suffers, the others are jeopardized. As many people get seasonal depression, it is very likely that those same people experience spiritual lows during those times.

I enjoy being able to go to daily mass whenever I want to, being able to pray the rosary at my leisure, and so forth. Summer is certainly always my favourite season, spiritually. Lounge Daddy
The emotions and the spirit are tied together. Seasons impact the emotions for better or for worse (thus, some people have seasonal problems). Spring and sunshine are incredibly uplifting for me.
