Why?
It's tame. Like, nothing can happen to you. It's just a ball of paint that's shot out of a gun. I think things like mountain biking, trail running, sailing etc are more extreme and exciting... Real bad stuff can happen when you do that. You know, broken legs, scrapes, broken heads etc.

I heard some guys talking about how they went into the woods/bottoms and were in teams of like twenty or so and would stalk/shoot at each other and would knock people out of the game by shooting them up so bad they had to quit playing.

Yeah, and one of the guys was bragging about how he laid in a bed of ants for thirty minutes without giving away his position. All I could think of was "what an idiot why did he lay in the ants in the first place?"

lol yeah totally. I love capture the flag in the woods. One time I jumped over a compost pile in the dark to get away. rofl another time i was running to get my bro out of jail and i was like "i can't see you, yell!" so he starts yelling, and I head to the sound, but then there's this tree branch right in front of me, so I dive on my belly and slide on the ground and ran into him. He fell on top of me. lol

oh my gosh....

Hide and seek at night in the woods is awesome too. You learn very quickly to wear as much black/dark colors as possible. And wear bandanas/scarves over blonde hair. <_<

Lawl. You learned that by experience?
I want to try airsoft sometime. :))

The hardcore kind though.

Maybe someday.......
Airsoft is hardcore cause you can bust it out almost anywhere. Someone's barn, back woods, etc. No mess. I've played some tactical airsoft at night in a friend's barn, with one light source shining from under a loft to the middle of the barn. It was cast in such a way that there was little light and lots of dark. Epic times. You learn that being in the dark gives you an advantage. As soon as you break into the light, you're dead cause you can't see around you, but you can be seen. Needless to say, I got a few sweet snipes in the dark though. One was on a glock of sorts, I think.

I'd want to try the really intense military simulation type. With really planned out tactics and stuff. I've heard sometimes they go days at a time.

Yeah, we tried to keep this military like. We had one team hold the barn, the other team raid the barn. There was courtesy time given for getting through the awkward door, but otherwise we had to carefully take each other out. 1 shot = 1 kill, so we had to cover ourselves whilst taking others out. There would be long periods of absolute stillness before a shot was fired.

That's when you get a big piece of plywood and use it as a shield. :lol_roll: Then you use it to squash the other guys.

plywood, bales of straw, tractor tyres. You name it, it was probably used for cover.
