CatherineM
If you are low income, the YMCA has scholarships. Some pay for the whole thing, some make you pay a token amount, or ask you to volunteer some time at the front desk. It depends on the Y.

kafka
Just hang in there Lillabett. Without going into detail, God is going to help us eventually. As long as we repent of our sins. The important thing at this point in time in Lent of 2009 is repentance for our sins. Repentance of when we acted like a bunch of faithless idiots. And to prepare to receive a stupendous gift from God in humility to change our lives, in sorrow which not of this world but of God: [2 Cor] {7:10} For the sorrow that is according to God accomplishes a repentance which is steadfast unto salvation. But the sorrow that is of the world accomplishes death.

kafka
Your not an Apostate
no. I am Catholic to the bone marrow. And I know things which have been set up even from the foundation of the world. And I know these things as a fruit of a strenuous reflexive effort, on my part to make sense of my historical situation which I have been plunged into without any choice of mine and cheifly by having accepted Divine Revelation to a bold and selfless degree. By having accepted all that God has revealed publicly through His Deeds and Words, which others do not see. To a degree which has necesssarily brought alienation from all those I love, yet God alone is my help in all my sin and all my poverty. If you do not believe in God Hassan, I am telling you God will prove God to you even in a few weeks. If you do not believe me believe the truth that history is headed for an absolute end, which can and must only be initiatiated by God Himself for He is the beginning and end of history. And this beginning of the end is for us and for our times. And I thank my lucky stars that in spite of all my failures in life and all my sins I might repent and be a part of this. And if you do not believe me, believe in God, who alone has and shall do wondrous things. And do not be hard-hearted, and do not place too much stock in the great theologians and phiolosophers of the past, for they only knew Him to a degree, yet God is the Ultimate, and he will make geniuses of us for not having seen his Grandeur, and Mercy and Love and Wrath and Gentleness in the days to come. Amen.
lilac_angel
My cousin was put on steroids for UC and that seems to put it into remission pretty well. I'm not sure if that's an option for you, though. I haven't heard of her complaining of a lot of pain from hers, but she did experience a lot of weakness and sickness when it was bad. Weirdly, I've been getting strange cramps the past couple of days and I wasn't sure why I was getting them, but they felt like the ones you were describing. If I get them again, I'll offer them up as prayers for your pain to go away... I heard there was a surgery option, but again, that may not be an option? I have pain issues (though they don't seem as severe as yours) so I can kind of relate, but sorry I can't be of more help to your situation at the moment. I'll try to offer more when it's not so freakishly late if I can.

whatsup
I'm not into naturalist things but I think they can help. I used to get really bad cramps for my period and I've been taking zinc and they've pretty much disappeard completely. I eat leafy greens alot so its not even like my diet was lacking zinc. Sometimes modern medicne ignores that bodies can be different. It takes alot of zinc to keep me healthy...maybe twice or 3x the amount an average person would take. If you take them for too long they give you other problems though; they gave me osteoporosis and liver stuff. I am not supposed to have them any more. There is a surgery for it; I had a surgeon, but they are reluctant to do it on young people, because it is disfiguring. "It will damage your self esteem" blah blah blah. I felt like saying, Mr. Surgeon Man, having a pooping disease is not a big ego boost either. I am in remission now, it really does not hurt that bad, I have a pretty normal life, its just annoying more than anything.
