I'll give you one... this is the year that

1) I started my sophomore year of high school;
2) I bought a skateboard; and
3) Pope John Paul II officiated in a huge outdoor Mass in San Antonio, Texas.

I know that our current pope has been so for a long time, but not since 1456? I'm not sure what happened... but... I was in fourth grade when John Paul I died and JP2 came on board... (I remember this really very clearly for a Protestant fourth grader...) What year was it...? (I know, this is an easy one... but we have to get the game back on track!)

Okay. This is the year Wayne Williams was found guilty in the Atlanta child murders.

He was convicted in January 1982. I cheated and looked it up.

Very interesting case ... apparently there's more investigation going on in that case now.

It was on January 28 of the year that the Challenger exploded. I was nine years old and in fourth grade at the time of the accident; I turned 10 in October of this year, and remember being very excited about being a decade old.

1986, my Mom was pregnant for me when she saw the Challenger explode and I was born August of that year.

The year my Dad was born. He graduated highschool in 1965. It was 2 years after WWII ended.
