StColette
If forced Catholic young people should heavily promote the prolife agenda while at these "campuses". They kick all the prolifers out in a heart beat or try to brain wash them.

Though I should warn you that England isn't perfect. I love it, though. Of course, I live across from Benedictine monks. But yeah, what worries me is how it could affect Kieran. Do you know the kind of hurdles I went through to find a Catholic in good standing for a sponsor? I ended up having to forsake my age range locally in the entire of those I knew. (Poor priest, he showed up this past year and likely had a heart attack -figuratively speaking.)
rhetoricfemme
When is this expected to pass? When they say citizens would be obligated to three years of service, how much of that three years do they expect people to give? I am not behind this involuntary volunteerism... The ACLU, the Rush Limbaugh's, the Howard Stern's will all be united and raging. Eventually the mandatory or volunteer part will go from the bill, and that will be the truly telling sign.[/quote] In case you haven't noticed the media isn't telling us a lot about Obama and his plans. There is too busy creating smoke screens.
virginiancatholic
100 hours of comunity service every year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way to encourage college students to BS even more. What the heck! Isn't forced unpaid service slavery??? I'm sorry, but when I volunteer my time (which, by the way, is very precious to me) I like to give it freely, thus making the gift that much more worthwhile. I'm sort of wondering why we have all this stupid legislation going through. I'm gonna have to build a fort on a mountain in Montana to protect my kids from idiocy and socialism. jk... ...maybe... As to those saying the media is too busy covering Obama's bum, today it's seemed like most of them were focused on crucifying him over the economy.
