Lounge Daddy
In what way was Obama rude to Brown? We didn't get this in Canadian media.
Obama had PM Brown over for a visit. Because we have a close relationship with Great Britain, there is always a special "meet and great" visit with a change of executive leadership on either side. But PM Brown came over and there was no special reception at the airport. There was only a small meeting between Brown and Obama--and Obama looked inattentive and groggy. There was no formal dinner at all. No press conference during the entire time. No one here even knew that PM Brown was in the US. He was treated as if he wasn't even here. The UK press was offended. President Obama did, however, give Brown some dvds while he was here. 25 of them, actually. So I guess he had something to do in DC. No dinner, no tour of DC. But he could stay at the hotel and watch movies. It was a train wreck. It's as if Obama gave Brown a cold shoulder since the election. From day one. Obama's first phonecall after assuming the White House should have been to Brown (I believe that he called Palatine first, and spent the rest of the day calling other people in the Middle East). Madame Vengier
I hope Americans remember this the next time he preaches about "spreading the wealth around" and lecturing Americans for "wanting to keep your homes heated to 72 degrees". He appalls me.

Entering the room without the formal greetings, Obama jumped into asking questions. Brown didn't get a word in for approximately 6 minutes. There was an issue involving a bust of a famous previous British PM which had resided in the White House for several years. Obama told Brown he could take that back (something to do with this PM and Kenya) and was flippant and bitter. Then of course the issue of the DVDs...which Brown can't even play on a British a DVD player even if he wanted to watch them. It was an APPALLING and demeaning gift. Really just makes my jaw drop. Less than 2 months on the job and he's so overwhelmed and tired that he can't treat even our political allies with respect?? What a disaster he is. The real truth is he hates white people, hates America, hates Europe (he loves the Muslims though). He was taking his personal feelings out on PM Brown because of England's past history with Kenya. That's what this was all about. He doesn't belong in the White House. He's a shander.

I suppose the context suggests Palestine but Palpatine's much funnier.
