Brother Adam
I think it is very important to have service on TV for shutins and others who can't leave home or hospital bed.
Homestarlover85
i dont see whats wrong with advertising on tv. It seems to me like a ministry in itself. Perhaps the money could be used in a better way, but Im sure fruit comes from it. Perhaps someone watchin tv or listening to the radio hears the message and decides to go to that church. Seems like Gods work to me
ryanmeyersmusic
churches that advertise on christian radio are more often supporting the station than advertising for membership...

Didacus
Good question. I don't think there is any theological reason not to; at least none that I can think of. May be unusual for the Catholic Church, but may be worth a try? I'd think so. But of course the commercials would have to be classy, and traditional... but not '50s' type traditional I mean... StMichael
This did great for the Church: And the results can be seen here: Jesus went to where the people were to preach to them. Why would it be any different now to reach out online, TV, radio, billboards, etc.? I see those ads for mormons constantly, and for those 30 seconds something good is being preached. missionseeker
On I75 Coming down the Florida Penisula we have "Vasectomy Guy" "Cafe-Risque" Pro-Life signs. In that order, every 20 minutes.

I remember conversations from PM, commercials, television episodes, lectures from college, all in good detail, but I can't recall them without prompting...which means I may remember everything said in a phone call I made to set an appointment with the doctor, but when the day and hour arrives, I will completely forget that I have an appointment unless someone reminds me. However, I CAN sing you all the verses from the "Gilligan's Island" theme song. But, even with a list, I ALWAYS forget at least one thing I meant to buy at the grocery store. And, I need prompting to remember things, too. I can walk out of a speech or lecture and not remember a word that was said. But, if someone prompts me, or I take notes, I can often recite back what was said almost verbatim.
