HolyPhoenix
I missed the dance tonight where I planned on showing my older brother how I was a better dancer than him.
rose wrought of iron
What kind of dancing? If it was real dancing, I feel for you.
HolyPhoenix
Well, I think it was real dancing. I was never really told the style. Perhaps it's good I didn't go. I wouldn't fit in if it was robot or something. Only swing, waltz, jitterbug type stuff.
rose wrought of iron
That's cool... I wish I knew how to dance. That'd be so awesome...
HolyPhoenix
I wish I knew how to dance better. I think I am better than my older brother, though I haven't seen him dance in a long time. But that doesn't mean that I am extremely good at it. I find it very fun, but don't do it enough to be "good" at it. I know the steps by heart for the most part though. For the regular stuff. I just need to get the cool moves down. Like twirling. I can only seem to get it with the jitterbug. everything else is ugh.
rachael
i can't dance either.
rose wrought of iron
I can't stand what passes for "dancing" these days... uncoordinated, unattractive, and purely for sex appeal. Very little talent required, it seems...

tinytherese
I've found the dances at my college to be annoying because of all of the inappropriate music and grinding going on. What I found was weird was at this dance that was supposed to be an oldies one that hardly any of them were oldies songs. I don't consider a song that came out three months ago to be an oldie. I went to an event where there were guys present (being at a women's school that's a big deal ) and some guys were asked to dance for us and unfortunately they grinded. Come on now that doesn't involve any skill and besides that's not dancing with dignity.
CatherineM
I'm so sorry you missed your chance. Showing brothers up is what younger sisters are supposed to do. I remember the day I showed up my brother Jimmy at shooting, with his rifle, in front of his wife. We never shot together again, but it was worth it. Visualize a large pond with cans on the other side, and I made one fly straight up in the air like something out of a movie. Have no idea to this day how I did it, but his wife started screaming, he grabbed his rifle, and went back inside. It was pretty sweet.
