Many parishes also make a night of it - for instance at ours we have stations of the cross at 5 PM, fish fry at 6pm and adult education at 7 pm.

We have fish fries on Friday (before stations at 7). I am not sure if they do it every Friday or not.

We also have soup suppers on Tuesday nights of Lent after evening Mass. Tuesday is the only weeknight we have evening mass (we daily mass M-F, but in the morning). Tuesday is also RCIA night.

We have them here at most parishes. I don't go because I really dislike fish. For some reason they don't do shrimp. One parish does fish and pasta for non fish eaters.

The Knights of Columbus do fish fries every Friday night during Lent ay my parish. There is nothing quite like coming home smelling like fish and fries.

Oh yes, especially in the rural areas near my hometown. You can't pass a church without seeing a sign for a fish fry.

This year I might do my own little fish fry. My friend's boyfriend left a bunch of fish he caught in my fridge (and it's taking up valuable ice cream space); I might as well use it.

I wish the place where I go to Mass had them, but alas it does not.

Fortunately, I actually like to go the the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts of Gregory the Great at the Ukrainian seminary up the street, and they often offer me dinner. :D

Lots and lots of alleluias too...
