That is absolutely silly. As my first grade teacher said, "No one can make anybody do anything."

Drinking and gambling cannot result from marrying a Catholic wife... they result because YOU do not resist temptation.

He must not have been too perceptive or he wouldn't have been an atheist. :D

His family was from the Ottoman upperclass, so by marying someone below his "class" he shamed them, which, along with his other habits, is why they tried to get Ahmed to get their father to write Hassan out of the will, which he says yes to because they have connections with an official who can get his brother out of jail.

She didn't cause any of it, but with the family's snobishness at him marying her in the first place.

oh please, like when Pio was trying to "make sparks" by putting a fork in the electrical outlet like on the cartoons and you didn't even notice because you were reading "Cosmos" and listening to Margaret Sanger speeches

Thanks goodness there is one involved parent around <_<

Well then you need to blame his snobby Muslim family and not the Catholic wife.

The truth comes out. So you admit his name is Pio.

I don't know about Cosmos and Margaret Sanger speeches.... sounds more like something you would be doing.

Yeah, thank goodness one parent is involved and responsible.... me. By now, without me, you would have done thrown Pio in a pond to see if he floats.

And if I remember the story correctly it was me who pulled Pio away from that plug... you were off gallivanting around with the floozies again, no doubt. <_<

I never once blamed the Catholic wife.

This is why our marriage is in trouble, you never listen :ohno:

I never denied it was Pio, your the one who kept changind names.

When my mother was pregnant with my younger brother I wanted to name him "Andrew" so I would prefer Pio be named Andrew, but Pio is alright I guess.

For a dull name

I am hearing what you are saying. You are trying to say that if he hadn't of married the woman his life would have been just nifty. Well, I am sure without her presence and prayers he would have been dead somewhere instead of just gambling and drunk. He sounds like he was a bad egg from the get-go. Poor girl... had to suffer so much... I can relate. :ohno:

Beats me. I've been wondering that for years... you always did have weird tendencies though...

Well... not even St. Rita could keep her husband from dying sometime. It was his bad lifestyle that led to it. If anything, she kept him from killing himself sooner.

Such a nonchalant attitude toward our daughter almost getting run over by a vehicle on the busiest street in the city. This is just sad. :ohno:
