Feast Of Arulanandar

Innocent

Recommended Posts

Yesterday was the feast of the Jesuit missionary and martyr St. John de Britto. A very important saint for us Catholics in the state of Tamil Nadu in India.

Here he is known as Arunanandar, the Indian name he took here.

I love going to Mass those feast days of martyrs because the altar and sanctuary are draped with beautiful red cloth embroidered with golden threads on those days. It creates a beautiful atmosphere.
