Giolla
I'm in community college and I have been trying to decide on whether or not to be a priest. I have decided that it is what I am being called to do. Please keep me in your thoughts and or prayers. Thanks, Joseph (AkA Giolla)

cmotherofpirl
Te gloriosus Apostolorum chorus, Te Prophetarum laudabilis numerus, Te Martyrum candidatus laudat exercitus. Te per orbem terrarum sancta confitetur Ecclesia, Patrem immensae maiestatis: Venerandum tuum verum et unicum Filium; Sanctum quoque Paraclitum Spiritum. Tu Rex gloriae, Christe. Tu Patris sempiternus es Filius. Tu ad liberandum suscepturus hominem, non horruisti Virginis uterum. Tu, devicto mortis aculeo, aperuisti credentibus regna caelorum. Tu ad dexteram Dei sedes, in gloria Patris. Iudex crederis esse venturus. Te ergo quaesumus, tuis famulis subveni: quos pretioso sanguine redemisti. Aeterna fac cum sanctis tuis in gloria numerari. Salvum fac populum tuum, Domine, et benedic hereditati tuae. Et rege eos, et extolle illos usque in aeternum. Per singulos dies benedicimus te; Et laudamus Nomen tuum in saeculum, et in saeculum saeculi. Dignare, Domine, die isto sine peccato nos custodire. Miserere nostri domine, miserere nostri. Fiat misericordia tua, Domine, super nos, quemadmodum speravimus in te. In te, Domine, speravi: non confundar in aeternum.

You're not alone. And you've got a bunch of womenfolk praying for you, which is the best (ask St. Dominic ) If you want to share anything, we love conversion stories. Three of my five best friends are atheists

Giolla
Back Story. I was raised Catholic and we always went to mass, then we started going to the Anglican church then back to the Catholic church (not sure why but as I look back I didn't like the Anglican church.) Then we started not going to church at all. That along with death of friends and going through 17 surgeries in my life including two hip replacements, I don't know whether or not I didn't believe in God or I hated him (don't take it personally big guy). I eventually got to the point where I was getting ready to kill myself but to this day I think God intervened. I started going back to the Catholic church because it was what I was familiar with and I would even received communion (again looking I know now that I shouldn't have). I eventually was confirmed through RCIA and have been steadily growing into a genuine faithful Catholic. As for the Priesthood I have always felt the call but over the past year it has been growing, this way I can help the church and people in need. Giolla
Now that I have made that decision I am now deciding on whether to be a diocesan or Jesuit. My diocese is in need of Priests. Any Thoughts or tips?
