Pio Nono
JMJ 4/10 - Holy Saturday My senior prom was so cool...instead of paying $150 to rent a tuxedo, I spent $30 to rent a pink gorilla suit for two nights and wore that to the prom. My date tried to talk me out of it for weeks, but I had made her promise not to tell anyone before the prom. The principal was less than pleased, but it was still so cool. stargirl3:16
our school is holding a "Mr. Hot Tux" competition, and I thought that I would show up in a duct-tape tux just because, but considering it's tomorrow, it probably won't happen.

Guest thomasaquinas3
Well, I am going, and with someone, but as a friend, not a date. But I still marked with a date, just because I am not going solo. God bless.
brickchick
I am homeschooled... and this group nearby is having a prom, so I'm going to that. My sis and I asked a couple of our good guy friends to go with us (they go to public school, but are very clean and holy), so we have dates.. I just need to find a dress. Oh, and the sweet thing is, one of our friends who is going with us too, can get us a sweet deal on a limo, so we're going in style!
ilovechrist
another homeschooler! sweeeeet... limos are the best way to go, as long as you show up "fashionably late" like i like to do lets see.... that puts the homeschool count up to 11 i think! qfnol31
I didn't go, but that's because it was either go to prom or an ordination. I chose the ordination!!!
CatholicCrusader
St. John Vianney on Dancing "Dancing is one of those things that is so commonplace that we have become "spiritually immune" to its evils. Here the Cure puts dancing in its proper perspective. Read this sermon and think of other things that have become so ingrained in our culture that we do not realize their sinfulness, such as women wearing pants, and get them out of your lives! Sure, some foolish worldlings might look on you with contempt, but that is part of being Catholic." I encourage everyone to read what this most holy Saint has to say about (especially teenage) dances. God bless you all!
cathgirl
I'm not going. My mom wouldn't let me, even if someone did ask me though. That's okay, I don't have any $$ to spend anyway!!!
