LouisvilleFan
Neutral. People at the extremes are always more vocal because they care more about their position, so naturally you're going to feel like everyone is one way or the other. I find Obama not only to be very intelligent and a great stategist, but somewhat more moderate than expected. He might be playing his cards more conservatively at the beginning of his first administration (yes, I believe he's practically a shoe-in for re-election), and some things like FOCA make me nervous, but politicians and political systems come and go. They aren't a real threat.

Arpy
Um, no, actually. Did I make a pun? I seem to do that unintentionally rather a lot, so I have to ask.
Ziggamafu
Neutral. On the one hand, his extreme stances on baby-murdering revolt and frighten me. On the other hand, it is undeniable that, for better or worse, he really has captivated the heart of a good chunk of the U.S. and really has inspired hope in a lot of people. American history has taught us that a hopeful people are much better prepared to endure (and perhaps even reverse) any hardships resulting from poor judgments made by the president. Also: I have never seen the pro-life movement as vibrant and vital as it is now that Obama is in office; you even see otherwise quiet magisterial voices in the Church loudly proclaiming the dangers of FOCA, for example. I can now see why it is alleged (whether or not it is true) that abortions were fewer during Clinton's presidency. The frightened pro-lifers were merely working harder! Because the American people are hopeful (naive though their hope might be) and because I have seen such a gathering of the forces of Christianity, I remain neutral on Obama's presidency. T-Bone _
I'm neutral, leaning towards fearful. I hate the "wait and see" attitude of some people, because we know what kind of a person he is. Whether or not he does these things is another matter...

Jesus_lol
now i am ashamed for the old joke... as a canadian looking in at you guys, i am somewhere between neutral and enthusiastic. i think he can do a lot of good for the united states and its foreign policy. sort of like the new neighboor moving into the abandoned lot next door. not entirely enthusiastic, as i refuse to totally believe any politician, until i see some proof of action. i dont really support his views on abortion, but honestly it is not that large of an issue to me, and i cant see much changing there regardless. CatherineM
I'm also neutral to fearful. I think he will fix some relationships with other countries that Bush strained. He will address many things on the big list of Catholic social justice issues. He will also stomp on the short important list of life issues. Lastly, I'm fearful that no one can fix the economy. sweens8403
I voted neutral. So far I don't like him, but I'm still sizing him up. I'm trying to figure out whether or not he really believes the things he says and votes for or if he's gutless and blows with the wind. His cult-like following creeps me out though, that's for sure.
