Jake Huether
Right. I don't know that cursing it will do any good. Biblically speaking, I think you send away evil spirits in the Name of Jesus (many times sicknesses are symbolically representative of sin and evil spirits). So, the passages you mom might be refering to might not necessarily mean cursing natural sicknesses. Praying, however, is always good. Pray hard that if it is Jesus' will, this cyst will go away. If not, bear your cross patiently. Christ is in control, buddy. Don't sweat it. You have my prayers too.
Dave
I wish I had some Lourdes water to give you, bro. And pray, pray, pray! But in the meantime, remember that your sufferings can help convert sinners, free the souls in purgatory, and bring lots of graces to the world. I know it's easier said than done, but it's still worth it.
Wynd
I have a ganglion cyst on my wrist too. It hurt for a while (week or two) after it first showed up, a couple years ago, but now I forget it's even there unless something hits it or I try to do pushups or something, then it hurts. So I wouldn't be too worried. I wasn't too happy when I heard I'd have to have surgery to get rid of it though =-\

Ash Wednesday
My pal paladin, I've had cysts before. I don't know if yours is the same kind as mine was, but if you hold a cloth soaked with warm water for a few minutes 1-2 times a day, that may help the membrane weaken and the cyst might drain and go away on its own. At the very least it may aid with discomfort. I did that at the suggestion of my doctor and it went away on its own. If not, then you would want it surgically removed. I can understand your anger, too. I've felt pretty sad and angry about life, especially this week, but you just have to keep on going. When you're able to get out on your own, you'll be able to go to church whenever you want. That time will come before you know it.
Paladin D
Thank you all for your responses. I'm in a better mood now, I went out with the family to some places. Also, thanks for the info about the cyst problem, I appreciate it. Btw Az, didn't know pissed was a bad word, sorry. Most importantly, thanks for the prayers. Oh almost forgot, one of my nostrils in my nose has been bleeding at least once (up to three times) a day for a little over a week so far. This nostril has been through years of trouble, and having a golf club knock against it didn't help. I have a capillary in my nose, where it bleeds pretty easily. I've had it filled (forgot the details) but then stupid ole me, I picked it (it felt like a huge booger). Unfortunately the last doctor we had, said that it would be very difficult to try again... since the skin is very thin and doing so will damage it more most likely. It's becoming a pain, blood oozzzzziiinnnggg out of my nose every now and then.

BLAZEr
Paladin, you are going to die! Eventually . . . but it probably won't be from a cyst on your wrist. Let's hope it's while you're defending the Church and you get a crown!
