Archaeology cat

Though I haven't done much on this lately, perhaps I should add 'dead languages' to the list. Especially those that don't write vowels. :)

I agree! I was actually considering trying to find a synagogue to get back into Hebrew. :lol: I've not really kept up with that or Middle Egyptian lately.

Hu-HUH! You should have seen me when I was doing Old English. I'd pour over my translation assignments like there was no tomorrow!

For some reason Old Japanese tickles me pink. But there's not much on it, unfortunately. Consequence of not having a writing system for, oooh, a few centuries or so ;)

My father in law knows 7 dead languages. His are all of the middle English, Anglo-Saxon kind of thing. Maybe he was King Arthur in a former life (or wants to be). I just wish he spoke regular English better.
