Anyone else into embroidery? I'm just beginning. I've got plenty of supplies but don't know much about correct stitches.

They are easier than cross-stitch. Keep your cloth taut and yourself relaxed. :)

I do some machine embroidery/applique, which is challenging on a 35+ year old machine. Totally not computerized. I haven't hand embroidered in years, but I remember hating when I ran out of thread.

I looked at that Klingon sword and it'd be really easy to make. It would just take a long time since I only use hand tools (hacksaw, files, etc). The only exceptions are my sanders. It really is amazing what you can do with just simple tools.


Can you ladies post any pictures of the things you've crocheted (sp?)
