Driver Refuses To Drive 'no God' Bus

It is about companies respecting the consciences of their employees. If you come forward and say, "I'm not comfortable doing this..." and the company has a way to accomodate you, something can be worked out.

The company didn't say he wouldn't have to drive the bus, btw. They said he didn't have to the first day, and that he wouldn't have to in future if there were other buses available. Basically, if all the buses have that ad on it, and he's a bus driver...what are they going to do? Neither they nor he control the ads.

So, yes, if a busdriver complained about driving a bus that asked, "Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour?," I'd hope the company would make efforts to accomodate him, too.

I was thinking about this while riding the bus yesterday. Our ads are on the inside, except for the buses that are painted with a company's logo all over it. There is a "birth options" clinic that has an ad on a lot of buses, to be honest, if I didn't know that they were in fact an abortion clinic, I wouldn't be able to tell by reading the ad. There are about a dozen ads on each bus, so I imagine that everyone could find at least one that offends them. I don't know how a bus driver here would be able to still drive a bus here and object to an ad on it.

Interesting.
I'd actually prefer to drive a bus with that on the side of it. What an easy way to get people into a conversation about the one true faith?
Yea that can actually be good, however how many people actually pay attention to those things? Though I never ride the bus so I really can't speak . So obviously since I don't ride the bus, somebody who does can fill me in. :biker:

I ride the bus everyday, and on long trips, you read every ad. It keeps you from having to notice the strange guys staring at you.

I suspect you smell better than the guys who normally make passes at me on the bus.
what about a driver who smokes? with all the anti smoking signs.
Is there anyone who is morally opposed to >not< smoking?

We should finance a campaign on the same bus lines:

Smoking is good for you--Now stop worrying and enjoy life.
