Usually when it's my turn to cook, I make some sort of hot dish. You need something starchy:pasta, rice, or potatoes(mashed) cook ahead of time. Vegetables:whatever is cheap, I like peas or broccoli. Something flavorful:onion, garlic, spices. Something meaty if you can swing it: tuna, beef, chicken. :spam: Something adhesive to hold it all together: just about any kind of cream soup concentrate in a can. Mix it all up and put in something that can go in the oven. Top with corn flakes and little flecks of butter or plastic butter.

Alternatively, you can spend all your money on beer and then just look at a picture of food, you won't even notice you're not eating it. :prop:

the lords sheep

If you don't do it already, buy in bulk (when on sale) and freeze. About once every 3 months, ground beef goes half price, and we pick up enough to last us until the next sale (this only works if you have a large freezer, though...) If you have a small freezer, just shop sales. Also, compare prices at different grocery stores. It can save you a bundle.
It seems ridiculous, but cut coupons. My mom would save 2-4 dollars every grocery trip with coupons. They're especially great if you can combine them with sales. 3 dollars, 2 times a week, 52 times a year= an extra 300 dollars every year. It adds up.

We also ate a ton of salads as meals. We did taco salads= more veggies than tacos, so very tasty and good for you,, so very tasty and good for you, and you can use tortilla chips rather than the expensive taco shells.
Also, chicken caesar salads: lots of veggies, 2 chicken breasts for 4 people and salad dressing. You can also do the same salad using leftover bacon from breakfast.

We also had Mustgo night: where everything in the fridge must go. :)

You can also make pizzas on english muffins for cheap, although you can also find frozen pizzas on sale for cheap also. Add some canned corn or a side salad and you're done.

Also, tuna salad sandwiches were always a hit. Add a side of Mac and coagulated milk. You're feeding the family for about $4-5.
You guys are expensive.

dUSt's Bro's Bologna Bowls

4 round bologna
4 cheese slices

Put piece of bologna directly in microwave. Put piece of cheese on top. Microwave on high until bologna forms a bowl around the cheese. Take out. Repeat for each.

Cost: About $1
No offense to your bro, but that is the most disgusting thing I have ever heard of.

hamspats

Take some sliced ham (not too thinly sliced or else it'll tear apart) and wrap it around your ankles. Secure it with either trussing string, toothpicks, or skewers. Make sure you secure it on the outside of your ankles so the string, toothpicks, skewers, etc. don't run into each other when you walk. As an added caution stay away from animals, especially strays as they try bite your ankles more frequently now.

Take leftover rice, and fry it up with lots of eggs (One per cup of cooked rice). Add garlic, onions, salt and pepper. And whatever veggies you have around (frozen or fresh).

Mmm. Healthier fried rice.
