Case in point... reyb doesn't have the manhood to answer a question. He's never answered one. Never will. You all quit wasting your time.

So, do you mean when God said 'let there be light'. This particle or particles of fires were created in the entire universe -which in turn it is the 'source' of the birth of the universe. Is this what you mean?

God created a source of light.
You are arguing from nuances in the translation of a language not even in the same family of the language we are using here. The early Hebrews were henotheists, not trinitarian monotheists. I think you would be hard pressed to find a single Rabbi who accecpted your rather uniwue interpretation here, nor should they.
A Rabbi would also not accept my interpretation of Isaiah's prophecies which point to Christ as Messiah. My point is that I am not arguing the Old Testament from only a Jewish perspective. My Bible is the Old Testament and the New Testament.
Kind of funny that 5,000 years of Jewish scholarship, of the actual Hebrew mind you, never broached upon your interpretation huh?
I really am not appreciating your rudeness. Can you please address posts without the attitude?

Let me clarify what you are trying to tell us. You are saying that the light in second sentence means ‘The Presence of the Goodness of God’, meaning when God said ‘Let there be light’. God is actually saying ‘Let the presence of the Heavenly Goodness exist’. Is this what you are telling us?

No, that is not what I am saying and I am confused as to how you came to this conclusion from my words.

When God said "let there be light" He was creating light on earth. "Light" already existed in Heaven - this "light" is God's presence. Light and "light" are two different things.

I can explain it no better.

That was one of those accidental duplicate posts... it's more fun to be creative with it than apologize, especially when it's the server's fault. If I get several duplicate posts, I make Burma Shave ads out of them.
Gen 1:1-2
1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

NIV

Do you mean, Light already existed in heaven before the creation of this heavens and earth and then create this 'light'?

Am I not giving any answer? Well, you are correct on that note. My 'answers' are interrogation to your given answers on a particular issue and let us see if these will fit to the message written in the scripture. (except on the title of this discussion itself and this post)
