It lead to my parents and I visiting with the principal. Never did that again.
whoops! that was a mistake. though i got a F in History in second grade because i did not turn in a paper that was like 75% of the grade. I didn't turn it in because i hated the teacher and she hated me. My parents while they were ticked off with me (and VERY angry! i might add ) they did not like her because she was all for the money and that was it. Stupid secular catholic education that isn't catholic. Then my parents grew weary of this 1/8 Catholic education that they were paying for and my mom started again to home school us. My parents were always fighting to keep us in the school.

CatherineM
We had Carmelites and Sisters of Charity. Our priest even wore a Biretta.
Saint Therese
At the monaster where I made my aspirancy , the priest who says the latin Mass wears a cassock. Its awesome!! I can't stand to see a priest in secular clothes; the dignity of the priesthood is so awesome its like an insult.
princessgianna
I can't wait to wear the habit.
yea if i were to enter the religious life I would want to be a "real" nun and wear the "real" habit and go the whole 9 yards. My mom last spring went to this party thing to see her old teachers who went a 180 degree turn to being liberal and so i went with her. So She is chatting with one of them and the now liberal regular clothes wearing nun, turned to me and asked if I was interested in the religious life. I replied it's an option. She then went on to tell me that they would be happy to have me. I could not think of a nice to way to say "well if i would ever join-i would want to go the whole 9 yards with the full attire of being a bride of Christ" In other words "i would NEVER seriously considered your now very liberal order. So I just smiled and thanked her.

I can't stand to see a priest in secular clothes; the dignity of the priesthood is so awesome its like an insult.
My favorite priest only wore secular clothes to the church picnic, where we were not allowed to take his picture, and to bar association dinners with me. He had one nice suit someone gave him, and I think he liked to pretend for that one night that he was a banker or something with a much younger woman on his arm. He had a brother who was a priest, and they went on vacation every year together and neither wore their clericals. He said that they would often miss their planes otherwise because people would grab them to tell them stories of when they were altar boys as kids or something. Saint Therese
I could see in those situations. But a priest who just wears jeans a t shirt around the parish office all day? Of course, he's just as much a priest..

CatherineM
I probably would have been too, so I guess I'm glad I'm not a man.
