Selah
I once heard someone tell me that St. Brigid was not a real person, but the Christian version of a Celtic Pagan goddess of the same name (Brigid). Here's the link. It kind of confused me a bit. Can you help? Winchester
My first tip is never use wikipedia as a source. It's written by anyone, so it's with a grain of salt that is be used. Use the catholic encyclopedia. The process of canonization was not always so formal, so local behavior sometimes resulted in someone becoming a saint. I don't know the history of St. Bridget of Ireland, but the Catholic Encyclopedia will likely have it. Again, wikipedia not a good source--especially for religious things.
