Livin_the_MASS
I wish people really understood the Catholic faith. Say for instance the Holy Rosary, alot of people have told me that it is repeditive. It's not, the Holy Rosary is a meditation on the life of Christ. The Hail Marys Become backround music. I don't think people understand that Jesus came to us through Mary and want us to come to Him through Her! That is why at the foot of the Cross He gave Her to us! I found this quote by St Bernard,
In the mystical body of the Church, Christ is the head, Mary the throat and we the members making up the rest of the body. As all nourishment passes through the throat into the body, so to all graces come from Christ. It is the throat that turns the head.
This was emphasizing the powerful role of Our Mother! Pray for the triumph of the Immuclate Heart of Mary and The Sacred Heart of Jesus to reign in the hearts of all men and women! :

It fills your heart and mind with God. Giving honor to a Saint is totally glorifying God because we only honor the saints because of their life devouted to God. What is bad is praying in vain. Iacobus
One of my non-Catholic friends never understood the Rosary till I had him come to the Living Rosary at my Parish. He than saw that the rosary and the beads were not idols etc but as he calls them "bookmarks" so we don't get lost in prayer. And afterwards he saw how we can come closer to Christ through Mary and how the Rosary is based on Christ's life and it very God directied. God Conquers
Wow, I was just talking to a friend (and convert) about the rosary and meditative prayer last night. I think that the repetition of the prayers actually frees our mind to be totally focused on God and His mysteries! It's like ascending into a "mystical" state (albeit for most of us on a really low level). We're able to move past our regular thoughts and enter a state where we have an opportunity to be connected right to God. I love it!
nikkan_hanil
I say we pray for their wisdom to blossom and encourage them to investigate things such as the Middle Ages and the the origin of the Bible... No better way to teach them than lay it down and let them discover for themselves...
