Lilllabettt
Are we human? Or are we dancer? My sign is vital. My hands are cold And I'm on my knees looking for the answer Are we human? Or are we dancer? ~The Killers. (no, it is not dancers, plural. its dancer, singular. that is what makes it sufficiently weird for me.)
Winchester
One pill makes you larger And one pill makes you small And the ones that mother gives you Don't do anything at all Go ask Alice When she's ten feet tall And if you go chasing rabbits And you know you're going to fall Tell 'em a hookah smoking caterpillar Has given you the call Call Alice When she was just small When men on the chessboard Get up and tell you where to go And you've just had some kind of mushroom And your mind is moving low Go ask Alice I think she'll know When logic and proportion Have fallen sloppy dead And the White Knight is talking backwards And the Red Queen's "off with her head!" Brigid
"what if I was holy? what if I was true? what if I would say yes when You asked me to? what if I was open? what if I don't wait? and if I acted now, could I be a saint? what if I was given, given up to You?" -chris padgett "I said, please, don't talk about the end. don't talk about how every living thing just goes away. she said, friend, all along, I thought I was learning how to take, how to bend, not how to break, how to live, not how to cry, but really I've been learning how to die." -jon foreman "in the economy of mercy, i am a poor and begging man. in the currency of grace is where my song begins. in the colors of Your goodness, in the scars that mark Your skin, in the currency of grace is where my song begins." -switchfoot
"The first time that you opened your eyes, did you realize that you would be my savior? And the first breath that left your lips, did you know that it would change this world forever?" - Relient K. I that song.
definitely my favorite Christmas song and my favorite song from rk.
It's not necessarily my favorite song, but it's one of my most favorite lyrics from a song: You cried wolf the tears, they soaked your fur, the blood dripped from your fangs you said, "What have I done?" you loved that Lamb with every sinful bone and there you wept alone your heart was so contrite... It's from "Deathbed" by Relient K. His preaching style is so similar to that of the pastor at the Baptist church I used to attend... if only I could get Chris and that pastor in the same room together! If this guy became Catholic, there'd be a crucifix in Louisville's mega-church within a year!

sine modo
How about and old country song - ' you're my bread, when i'm hungry, you're my shelter from troubled wind, you're my anchor in life's oceans, but most of all, you're my best friend' - and i forget who this is but to me it's very devotional. DemonSlayer
"Salty Grave" - Life In Your Way Upon my arrival, I either learn to swim or drown As I struggle for air I see only water And I reach for anything as I cry for help I feel my body growing weak, slipping away It occurs to me that my cries are worthless Acknowledging death, I no longer mourn my own loss And begin to sing praises to the one that has me here As I sink to my salty grave I drown No hand to reach for, no ear to listen
