socalscout
Was just listening to "Mary did you know" from Kenny Rogers and Wynonna Judd and the part where shes sings "When you kiss your little baby, you've kissed the face of God. " That always gets me

tinytherese
God Blessed the Broken Road reminds me of my conversion story from half-hearted catholicism to full-hearted catholicism. What a love story that was between Our Lord and I! This one song called All I Ask of You from The Phantom of the Opera reminds me of Our Lord and I too, "Anywhere you go let me go too. That's all I ask of You."

My favorite is Matt Maher's "Lay it Down": Everything I am, everything I long to be I lay it down, at Your feet
Excelsior1027
It's not necessarily my favorite song, but it's one of my most favorite lyrics from a song: You cried wolf the tears, they soaked your fur, the blood dripped from your fangs you said, "What have I done?" you loved that Lamb with every sinful bone and there you wept alone your heart was so contrite... It's from "Deathbed" by Relient K. Matt Thiessen is a lyrical genius. Edited December 11, 2008 by Excelsior1027

Matt Thiessen is a lyrical genius.
That is a great song. Matt is a genius. So is Ryan Ross I think...his lyrics are really weird and creative: "A daydream spills from my corked head And breaks free of my wooden neck Left to nod over sleeping waves Like bobbing bait for bathing cod Floating flocks of candled swans Slowly drift across wax ponds The men all played along to marching drums, And boy, did they have fun behind the sea They sang, so our matching legs are marching clocks..." - Behind the Sea "When the moon fell in love with the sun, All was golden in the sky All was golden when the day met the night When the sun found the moon, She was drinking tea in a garden Under the green umbrella trees In the middle of the summer When the moond found the sun, He looked like he was barely hanging on But her eyes saved his life In the middle of the summer" - When the Day Met the Night AWESOMENESS.
