Seeing red over teachers’ pen marks on copies

Red pen too aggressive, Queensland teachers told
If anything at all, red just made learning look important, it was easiest to see, and maybe subconsciously made me want to try a little harder, but I don't even know if I'd go that far.

Who knows; all I can say is that it didn't "offend" me... And I'm as sensitive as a person can get. Geez.

Of all the things people choose to complain about...
On another note, a study was done and it found that the color red did tend to bring out aggressive tendencies in people.
There was a study done (the results were in a recent issue of Psychology Today) that concluded red was seen as intimidating in comparison with other colors. The example they used was a sports team wearing red shirts had an advantage (not necessarily a huge one, but a noticeable one) over teams not wearing red, due to the intimidation factor.

And seriously, why would anyone care about not using red pens; there are pens of every color available, at least get some variety. While we're at it why not add some positive comments to papers, if you're going to tell someone what's wrong, tell them what's right, too.

All the problems I got wrong my mom marked in red, which I realize now must have damaged my confidence, causing more red marks, making it virtually impossible to ever improve my grades!
:o

That explains everything!!!!

Wow, I suppose it's just a matter of time before they do a study that shows that the teachers themselves are offensive to students and conclude that all teachers must be thrown out of schools to safeguard the mental health of the students.
Yeah, it was implented in a lot of high schools, middle school, and elementary schools in America.
My ENC 1102 teacher told our class that earlier in the semester.

Actually, as crazy as this sounds, I already do this, and for this reason.

I think the key there was that it gave them a slight advantage. You still have to have at least some skill :P
