Theosis3
Peace & Blessings, Without going into too much detail, I have been questioning some of the beliefs from the Catholic Church. Now let it be clear, I am Catholic, but I find it hard to believe in the immaculate conception, which states that Mary was exempted from original sin at birth. This would separate her from the human race and placing her above the Church, not in it. That being said, I do not think Mary is just someone. I honor her as the Mother of our Lord and Savior, she is indeed the Mother of God and I believe that she is perfect, but I believe that Christ is the only "sinless one". If this is confusing, let me simplify the terms. I do not necessarily believe in the Immaculate Conception as defined by the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Does this mean I am excommunicated because I don't believe in the definition as defined in the Catechism? Is this a mortal sin? Thank you
Winchester
I wonder if this is a doubt, or is this something you have chosen to accept, defend and believe.
