cheryl
not to mention the countless icons and depictions of Jesus through the centuries with the same facial features as the man on the Shroud...
I could be wrong, but I heard that these images were actually based on the shroud of Turin. That before the shroud became well-known, Jesus was depicted much differently (in the catacombs for instance, he has very short hair and no beard): (image of Christ as the Good Shepherd) Not that the shroud is a fake, I personally hope it is the real deal. PS. I remembering reading an account (apocryphal?) of Christ giving his burial shroud to the disciples. But I forget where, maybe someone here knows? scardella
That doesn't disprove the authenticity of the shroud... At the least, they'd have to prove that the chemical composition is the same... He was just able to get the same effect...
Winchester
So Jesus was using Medieval technology 1300 years before it became available? Amazing!
