Chad keeps joking that he thinks it is twins. Who knows! There are twins ALL over my family. My cousin had twins, my grandparents on both sides had twins in their siblings, And both sides of my hubby's family have twins too.
Interesting you should say that. People have been asking when I tell them "So, are you getting fixed after this?"

Strange question to ask a newly pregnant woman.
Ya, no kidding. As if something went wrong, or something bad happened. Or to use Dear Leader's words, as if we've been "punished" with a baby.

It's pretty sad, eh?

I got so angry at this poster at the local sure start centre here. It show just the bump of a heavily pregnant woman and says 'believe it or not, now is the perfect time to think about contraception'. Grrrr! :maddest:

 well, to be honest, i am a basketball person. all up front, nowhere else (really). but i guess i get the humungous stretch marks too, on the belly, which is awful!
Yeah, I got the belly stretch marks with Genevieve... still not a basketball belly, though. lol Some people might think I was if they only saw pictures, I guess, but I know better. haha

It might not be. I have pretty easy cycles but when I get pregnant it's like the pregnancy from hell. I have to remind myself daily where it actually did come from. :saint: So, having come from this side of the coin I sincerely hope that when you are blessed with children your pregnancies are a BREEZE.

from what i understand, twins are on the maternal side - meaning that the paternal side doesn't matter. :idontknow: but who knows?

I believe it also depends on if it's fraternal or identical twins. When my mom had my twin brothers (identical) she learned somewhere that identical twins are a "fluke" (because it's the one egg splitting), but fraternal are hereditary (because it's two separate eggs that are "released" at the same time, which is a genetic predisposition).

I think I've heard that, too, now that you mention it. There have been identical twins on both sides of my family, but I think fraternal twins have only been on my mom's side.
