How To Determine The Morality Of The Objective Act

If an action violates one of the precepts of the Decalogue, as interpreted by the Magisterium of the Church, then it is sinful.

The other day my mom and I were arguing on whether or not voting for a candidate who supports assisted suicide; ESCR; euthanasia; etc but who is an overall great candidate otherwise, is objectively permissible. (ack! sorry bout the poor grammar/wording)

Going through the ten commandments, I get stuck on the 5th.
