Most of my black neighbors voted for Obama because he was black. The perception was simply one of their own was gonna make it. They were not particularly interested in his stand on abortion or foreign policy etc. The economy was the only big issue and the idea that social welfare programs would increase and wealth would be "redistributed".

After YEARS AND YEARS of 'blacks' voting conservative, and based off of this extensive sample size, the conclusion makes sense across the whole demographic.

and for the record, I figured it wasn't a bathing suit, but it sure looks like one. As for coulter herself...meh...she makes a living off of her outrageously conservative statements. She's probably forming a nice retirement nest egg for herself. Good for her.

Nope, I was simply mentioning what was said when talking to my neighbors who happened to be black. I certainly have never seen years and years of 'blacks' voting conservative where I live, I live in a democratic stronghold, so if you get the nomination you win the election. But the sense was that they were voting for Obama, no matter what ticket he was on.
