PaxVobis
Hey wow, a post that fits me! I too started to feel a calling to the priesthood before I was even Catholic. You have plenty of time to reflect on what you may think you are feeling, so don't make any decisions yet! First thing is make sure that you talk to the Pastor at your parish, or a priest friend. Even if you aren't Catholic at least let them know what your feeling right now. Are you in RCIA? If not go ASAP!! In order to be a good seminiarian, then later priest, you must first focus on being a good Catholic! If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me at tchilders@conception.edu, I would be happy to answer any questions. God bless! And pray, pray, pray, pray, then go talk to a pastor, then pray some more!! Pax, Tony
Thy Geekdom Come
I too started to feel a calling to the priesthood before I was even Catholic.
Oh, I forgot to mention that my neighbor and classmate was a non-Catholic of the Baptist variety, but he and his mom converted and he was baptized a few years ago (he had not yet been baptized). CatholicAndFanatical
Hey crossing, I know exactly how you feel dude. I was also called to the Church spiritually. I am a convert from pentecostalizm and I remember being 18 years old driving down the road and having a sudden urge to make a sign of the cross on me..have no clue why but it felt so cool to do. Wasnt until like 5 years later that I actually went into RCIA and began my journey. My prayers are with ya man. Dont let anyone discourage you from this task, keep praying and hang around here. We'll keep ya straight CatholicAndFanatical
