Paladin D
My mother right now is having a very difficult time. We are in a really bad finacial situation (I mean very bad), and there seems to be no hope. She's been trusting God to provide, and it seems to just be getting worse. She has never had much friends all her entire life, and the few she has she rarely talks too because they're so far away now. She's been verbally abused all her life by her family. She has had friends but most of them later became abusers. She's been suffering her entire life, even my dad wasn't the best husband (verbal abuse) but he's gotten better. Please please pray a short prayer for my mother. It seems she has lost hope, and is blaming God for everything. God being a big bully, and having Christians suffer and all the heretics prospering. She knows that God tests us and such, she's been through that all her life... she's always one way or another have had hope and faith even in the most grave of times. Today however, it seems it isn't so. This has been going on for months, and today she couldn't take it anymore. Please pray for my mother. Please. Also, she's had health problems one way or another in her life, and still has.

MrsFrozen
Hi, Paladin.. I prayed for you and your mom, and I will think of both of you when I pray the rosary tonight. I am so sorry your mom is having such a hard time. I understand what it's like! With Frozencell being in the military and my staying home to take care of the baby, things can get tough sometimes. There have been times when we have had to be really creative with our money. One time, he didn't get paid AT ALL. That was really interesting... Anyhow, I hope your mom doesn't give up hope. God will take care of her! I don't know how much she needs or how dire the situation is, but maybe she should seek help at church? Or call Catholic Social Ministries? Here are some verses that help me though hard times like this. "But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded." 2 Chronicles 15:7 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Matthew 6:19-21 "Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved." Psalm 55:22 "What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?" Romans 8:31 Also, Matthew 6:25-34, Psalm 37 God bless, and I will pray for you!
Paladin D
Thank you all so very much, I deeply appreciate it. Right now my mom is in a very nice mood, and seems to have gotten over it. I just watched the Flinstones movie with her (the 1st one, with John Goodman). Plus my dad is in a nice mood, which helps it out. Again, thank you all. Paladin D
Just to let everyone know, this doesn't mean she isn't sad. I know it can be burden some "at times" to remember all these prayer requests on the forums, but you can say something like "Answer the prayers of my family, friends, and those on Phatmass in accordance to your will, Amen."
