Latin


Thy Geekdom Come

How many of you would take Latin if I offered it on a separate phorum and how frequently?

This fell through, currently. Sorry, I got back this week and was way too busy with setting up a powerpoint for St. Patrick's Day to give the lesson.

I also decided that the blog thing won't work well, so I wonder if dUSt would mind if I just had a Latin session on the board, a new post each time...I don't anticipate that it would take much space...

I'd love to learn Latin! It's just... Languages aren't easy for me and perservearance is hard.. lol... But I'd LOVE to try! :D

I had a year of latin vocabulary when I was homeschooled (10 years ago now :sadder: ) and it's really not incredibly difficult, most of the words really seem to fit, and you can really see the roots the english language in a lot of it.

If the offer still stands, I'd love to participate. :) I studied Latin in secondary school, but my knowledge is deteriorating now and I would like to keep it from draining away entirely.
