Gunga_ann
It's ok. One time I hit a bird. The next day in church, we sang a song they went "Love the bird is on the way." I almost cried.

BullnaChinaShop
When it is small animals that won't damage my car I just keep on driving. If they are smart they will get out of the way. I don't plan on getting into an accident for a bunny, squirrel, cat, etc. I won't purposely hit them and I will slow down if it is safe to do so in order to give them a sporting chance. IcePrincessKRS
All I could remember was the first part of that poem. lol I'm kinda with Ash on the not swerving thing. If they're small animals and they're smart they'll get out of the way of my big truck. If they are big animals, like a deer, I'll slow down. A few nights ago I was taking a friend home and there were deer out, she saw one up on the embankment and said "Ooohh, a deer..." And I said, "Oh crud!" and hit my brakes. There as another deer standing stock still in the middle of the road. Kelly didn't even see it. lol
marielapin
Here in this part of Florida we have to break for deer, wild boars (they will total your car if you hit them) and black bears. I don't feel remorse when I see dead possums on the side of the road....nasty little critters. I'm yet to run over any animal besides a snake. I didn't mind running over the snake cause I think it was a cottonmouth - it at least had a triangular shaped head which is bad in any case. I think I did someone a favor there.
