Just remember, the louder you shout your opinion and the more names you call others, the more true and better your opinion is.

And don't forget,

the more you vote for Pro-Death candidates the more you attribute to the death of the innocents, and the destruction of our beautiful nation...

...and you will be held accountable for it...

Yup, I agree. Just let it be--the economy will recover, it always does. All the government can do is exasperate it.

Brother Adam
But go on - keep blaming the Democrats for everything. I am sure you will. You are just like those Iranians who blame the Americans for the earthquakes in Iran. Maybe it is ironmonk that needs to get educated - about the banking system and how bad this crisis really is (and also about the phorum guidelines)
There are plenty of republican crooks too. the only difference is as a platform republicans remember history and promote freedom, democrats wouldn't know history if it kicked them in the head and promote death.

Also, the dems are babied by the Media and all to often get away with all their crimes and abuses. But if repubs sneeze is a two day hit piece.

Just something to think about...

so we concluded that bill clinton cutting the regs, and the up and down housing prices probably caused this, and then the free market at that.
not, or very little, the gov mandates for housing etc.
sounds like the only person getting schooled here is ironmonk, as usual.

but on that note. clinton prob cut the regs. but, surely a lot of republicans were happy to go along. and, both parties are guilty of not doing anything while it was on the rise etc.
mccain and obama looks like they made movements in that regard to stop it, but i'm talking about on balance.

You're breaking the unwritten forum rule #72..no trying to talk about things as they actually are: when in doubt (or denial) blame everything on the democrats and liberals! :lol_roll:

Galloglasses' Alt

Oh i'm gonna love this forum from now on. Altough the opinions expressed here, (political), won't give me a balanced paper for my study of US politics this year, but it should be quite an entertaining ride. XD

Here is another version of the same video that I saw on another site:

http://www.youtube.com/user/TheMouthPeace

There are a lot of interesting notes about legislation in there. I will have to look them up at a later time, however, I do have a few points that can serve as discussion points:

1) In 1995, the Republicans controlled both houses of Congress, so was the expansion of CRA done by legislation or executive order?

2) In 2003 and 2005, the Republicans controlled both houses of Congress, so why was the legislation proposed by Bush (2003) and McCain (2005) not acted on - was it a filibuster?

3) What was Biden's position/record in all of this?

If and once the above clears the "fact checker", I think McCain and Palin should use it to their advantage in the upcoming debates.
