prose
I woke up late.... Am I in a black hole? Did the world end? Seems the same as usual to me....
Excelsior1027
What? Didn't you think Phatmass would be in heaven, too?

VeniteAdoremus
I've been in the accelerator (at the CMS and ATLAS sites). It was fun. I do hope they don't blow too many protons apart. Those poor particles.

Fidei Defensor
Ha. If the world is going to end, it may not be for a few weeks or months. They turned it on today, but it will be a while before they get to actually smashing the particles.

They're looking for a special type of particle. The accelerator is made in such a way that the particle HAS to show up, if it exists. If it doesn't, there's going to be a lot of work for the theoretical physicists!

puellapaschalis
A mate of mine works at CERN. Over the past couple of days I've been thinking seriously about spamming his Facebook page like nothing else!
