Kilroy the Ninja
Don John has offically lost power and landlines now. The kiddos and I are safe at Canyon Lake. Please say a prayer for DJ and a few of the neighbors (especially the kids) that were not able to leave. I have a few choice words for the proponents of "hunker down". Things are good right now in Sugar Land... that's why it's called Sugar Land.
jmjtina
thank God Ike took a hike where we are at. but other family in H-town weren't so lucky. The good news is: everyone is okay. How is everyone?
zabbazooey
My uncle is okay! He is without power, but that's to be expected. Apparently a restaurant my uncle and I always eat at when I come visit (in Galveston) is under water

Kilroy the Ninja
Don John wanted me to post on here that he was fine (in case anyone but me was worried - HA!) He doesn't have power or phones still and is currently on a mission to take the contents of our deep freeze to a friend who does have power and space in their freezer. I believe he has been successful in this venture. I just trying to find out/figure out when the kids and I can go back (not that I am relishing going back before power is restored). Trying to find out information about schools etc. Guess we've got it pretty good since that is our largest concern. God bless everyone else out there! Stay safe!! StColette
Micah & I are fine. Some cars in our apartment complex parking lot aren't as lucky. Many residence in Northwest LA are going to be without power for quite some time. But, everyone that I know (friends & family) are all safe and sound. I have no power and water, they said it could 3 days to 2 weeks on the power, and I live in campus housing! Ugh I'm having to stay in Katy and commute downtown for class.
