Oh dearie, did you get any of your stuff out?
my laptop! (they have wireles here)

The family friend who is hosting me convinced me to bring way more stuff than I would have otherwise. I brought the bridesmaid dress that I'll need next month, my uber-expensive interview suits, my acoustic guitar, and some extra clothes. Knowing what I now know, I would have brought some other stuff... but the most important things (me and my dog) are safe here in Sugar Land.

Please pray for my family that is in Houston and staying there. One is in the hospital. :( And his wife and 6 little children are staying all by themselves. My family is actually staying because we are south of the hurricane. Winchester and DonJon, and everyone over there....Be careful and safe!!!! :bigpray:
The news lady just said that they have not evacuated the jail...
hmm, I read that they moved about 5,000 prisoners to jails farther inland.

yeah, i think we're gonna ride it out. We're not in the direct path, but we'll probably get high winds (75mph+) and lots of rain.

If we did leave, we would be heading south towards the valley.

Boarded up and stocked up on food, water and flashlights.

Will you be on the east side or the west side of the storm?

Hey texas phamily,
I'll be offline at several events this weekend. Be assured of my constant prayers for y'all. Mother Mary, spread your mantle of protection over your children and pray especially for their safety and well-being during this storm.
Love,
Amanda

As a Yankee, I'm terrified for you guys.

One of my oldest 'net friends is in Katy, outside of Houston, and will be staying. Please pray.
