Sent Kilroy and the little ones to Canyon Lake, thats north of San Antonio for you yankees.

I am here boarding up the house, plan to ride it out. As long as one of my multiple trees doesn't come down on the house things should be fine. I figure this house was here for at least 7 or 8 major hurricanes it should be fine.

Anyway no need to freak out, its just a little wind and rain. Everyday life in Southeast Texas

:hehe:

Well, we'll still be praying for you. I've seen flooding in Houston first-hand. For this Yankee who's idea of a flood is a really big mud puddle that's some scary stuff.
I'm called in for OT at 1200 tomorrow. Wife going to in-laws. (Mine, not hers).
Have they moved? I didn't think their house was better than yours for hurricane issues. Or you just want her with some other people?

Remember to tell her if she needs something to call. Your mom has already been told that.

thank you.
But i don't think this will be Allision like---- more likely it will be like Alica, wind damage, tornadoes that kind of stuff.
I guess it could be like both--- that would um "smell like elderberries"

Well the prediction is that the eye will go right over my county here in Texas. We're sure to get hurricane force winds and like ten inches of rains with possible flooding.
The real danger for us is tornados generated by the rotation :scream:

People, and I think now it will be better because of the design of the buildings there. Plus she isn't inclined to just shoot people.

I will.

According to the flood zone people, my place is 11 feet above sea level. They are predicting a storm surge of 22 feet. My place has 9-foot ceilings. There will be nothing left. It's a good thing that I don't place emotional attachment on inanimate objects that can wash away. The dog and I will be fine in Sugar Land. :))
