the_rev
Dear Friends: I am obviously distressed by the jury’s verdict but I continue to take comfort in knowing that I have done nothing wrong and that I have the enduring support of my family and friends. I will appeal the verdict and continue to fight to clear my name. I believe in the fairness of the judicial system and remain confident that I will ultimately prevail. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate all the words of encouragement I have received from thousands of supporters. It is your continued support that will keep me going until I am completely exonerated. Sincerely, Martha Stewart
Well... I would have to argue with that
Mrs. Bro. Adam
Wow! And she was so confident that was going to be found not guilty!!!
frozencell
But she did get acquited for the most serious charge. Oh well. I never liked her shows anyhow. They're boring.
Colleen
if she doesn't win her appeal, i guess there won't be any more Martha Stewart Living. Or Martha Stewart pillows. Or Martha Stewart paint. not that i care that much. But still, i really wonder if she is telling the truth, and she has been wrongly convicted. I think she's guilty, but what if she isn't? I don't know. I was really surprised by this.

Brother Adam
You'd be amazed at how good millionares have it in prison. Just because your in prison doesn't mean you don't still have buying power. Depending on her sentence she could end up in a suite with cable modem hookup, phone, private bath, and so on.

I don't even want to know what she'll be able to buy, but I'm sure she won't be in a normal prison population anyway.

Iacobus
I have no remose for Stuart going down if she is guilty than she deservsers it, but I wish they would turn the lights on Ken Lay and this likes. Sturat made what off the deal, $50,000(? the number comes to mind), while she was worth over a billion. How many people did Enron or Worldcomp hurt, how much money did Ken Lay get? It seems to mean that we are going after the little fish and letting the big guys play golf.
