littleflower+JMJ Posted March 7, 2004 Share Posted March 7, 2004 sunday march 7th, 2004 showed my kids the fatima cartoon movie called "the day the sun danced" they LOVED it. we also sang a really cool song that goes by 'if your happy and you know it' but its "o becareful little eyes what you see, oh becareful little eyes what you see, for hte father up above, is looking down in love, oh becareful little eyes what you see....." then you go on to tongue (say), ears (hear), feet (go), hands (do). but yeah and i also learned some of my kids have seen the PASSION MOVIE!! i mean their only first graders but they certainly paid attention really well to share some parts of the movie with the class. i hope to see it soon, probably spring break for sure.the kansas jayhawks are playing, i was watching them but i really shouldn't with tests coming up and housework :shame: oh well. i dont know what im gonna do when march madness comes around. im glued the tv when its college bb playing. oh well. Then we came here, and she realized she had to leave an hr. earliter then she thought, so my mom and i watched bb (THE TIGERS RULE) they started losing, so we went to the mall, and then the conservation to walk and now we're here, and i'm doin homework and waiting for Jake to call me. I had a friend from out of town spend the night at my house last night, and we got NO sleep. Now, somehow I've gotta drag myself out of bed and finish all the homework that piled up over the weekend! The retreat was awesome.. it was run by the Brothers of St. John, and there were some really great speakers. My friends from Chicago came down, so it was sooo much fun to hang with them. Great band, great food, great retreat. One thing kinda bugged me, though. I was having a great time and everything, but I never really felt that [u]connection[/u] that I was looking for. I've been kind of angry and questioning God right now, and I really wanted him to speak to me, to change me. *sigh* I just don't know.. Father Klamut said that I should be seeking the God of consolations, not the consolations of God.. Meaning that my prayer life cant' be fully reliant on how it 'feels' right now. Didn't St. Therese of Avila go through twelve years of dryness in her prayer life? Oh gosh.. I'm just so confused right now.. but at least I'm a little less confused after retreat! Gunga_ann Posted March 8, 2004 Share Posted March 8, 2004 March 7, 2004 Hey! My b-day was on March 4th. Fun! I got sung to like 3 times! Once in Church! Well, today is my favorite day of the week! Sunday! First I went to 8:00 Mass, then to CCD. I got to sit in the 8th graders class. It was great! Then I went to part of 11:00 mass and I tought preschool class. I love the little children! Then I had a 15 min. breakfast and then off to a retreat meeting! We made some candels. Then I had to rush off to our first youth group gathering! It was sooo much fun! I lead the disscussion! I was feeling good from the retreat this weekend, but then I had to go back to school and put up with the same people that I can't stand. I still have to deal with their mean, spiteful comments, and I still have to hold my tounge to try to not say mean, spiteful things in return (haha.. Father, today I heard the song, Who am I by Casting Crowns, and it truly made me think, who am I, that the king of the Universe really would want to know me, especially when I commit mortal sins.
