Gunga_ann
Nifty! March 5, 2004 Hey! Well, I am writing this in school. (shhh!) It is in typing class, though. Anyway, my day has been ok. It is sooo hot in this school I want to take a nap! Yesterday, my youth group was practicing for a shadow stations of the cross. It is soooo cool to look at, you can really see the pain and suffering that he went through because you see it soo distintly. I get to play Veronica. :-) Well, there is this one part where Jesus is on the cross and the sky is susposed to turn black for a long time. We decided that to turn the light down, we were going to turn the light towards the floor, like a sun set. I saw it from both sides. When I saw it from the front side, where you could only see shadows, I almost cried. It was soo sad, yet moving. It was very inspiring. Right now I am just sitting here, in computer applications, just typing. This is fun! I really like this idea. It is cool. I am excited! We are going to rev up our youth group this sunday and we get to get together for youth night. I can't wait! But I have to lead it. Please pray for me! I have to go! Bye me.. Aloysius
today i'm still sick, physically. i really truly believe God purposefully gave me this sickness though, because i've been in spiritual intensive care. this is the second day i've been doin a morning/evening prayer based on some sort of liturgy of the hours and morning/evening prayer from the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary. i've continued working on blocking things on my comp, reciting exorcism prayers while doing so. i failed my driver permit test for the 2nd time, always on the last question too. my dad is gettin annoyed having to drive me. ummm... i've perfected my Ave Maria on the Piano, get to play it in an honors concert tomarrow hmm... anyway, i'm doin pretty good all in all. had a tuna sandwich. my mom has been convincing me to drink Pepsi cuz "it doesn't count when you're sick" so i decided for Lent i gave up "pop for non-medicinal purposes" hmm... that's all for now. Colleen
Hmm, let's see. I had a long day. March 5, 2004 I went to school today, as i do every monday, wednesday, and friday. (Yeah i don't have to go to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays :mischief: ) It was pretty boring. I have to write a paper on the Merchant of Venice, and my prof wants me to do an outline even though i hate outlines and don't find them helpful. oh well, i guess it'll just be one of my many lenten penances. I was really happy though when i got home cuz then i could go on phatmass! i watched bambi with my three-year-old brother. there was a really cool storm today. it was almost 60 degrees this morning but interestingly will probably snow tonight. anyway, it was really sunny and then all of a sudden it got as dark as dusk and there was an incredible downpour. it was really pretty to watch especially b/c my school looks right out on Lake Michigan. it's so nice to see God's handiwork. then i watched Jim Caviezel on EWTN. That was awesome. it's so encouraging to see an actor standing up for his faith and being so knowledgable about it. Anyway, i hope i didn't bore you to death. God Bless, Colleen

Gunga_ann
March 6, 2004 Ok, here we go... I went to go see the Passion of the Christ today. Wow... It was really sad. I kept on thinking I did this, my sins did this. They showed a lot of Mary. I wanted to hug her and say it will be alright. She was sooo close to Jesus. He was her little boy. At the end, they showed the Piata (I hope I spelled that right) where it was Jesus in the arms of his mother. She, Mary, looked straight into the camera. I relized, she has every right to be mad at us. I mean, truly be angry. We killed her little boy with our sins. I just cried. I killed her little boy. And yet, she still loves me. Wow. I am sorry. Other than that, my family and I went out to eat for my birthday. My dad made them put a candel in my jell-o. hehehe bye, me...
Colleen
March 6 -- almost 7th, hehe I woke up late today and went shopping with my mom. i personally find shopping to be incredibly irritating. and today was no different. what makes me so mad is that i can never find any decent clothes. my brothers have such an easier time -- all the pants and shirts etc are nice. but to find modest, well-fitting, pretty clothes is like looking for a needle in a haystack for us girls. And when we DO find something nice, it's WAY too expensive! my mom said i was overreacting when i told her that we wouldn't find anything nice today. she said, oh, we'll go to such-and-such store, they usually have nice, traditional stuff. and i said, "madre, i don't believe you and i'm going to prove you wrong." well, we went to this store and after about an hour of searching, i found a grand total of 2 shirts that i was willing to get. they were decent. so i didn't exactly win my bet with my mom. but i was still able to show her that 98% of the stock was really awful. :irate: then we went to mass at this new parish and for the second week in a row, the priest, in lieu of a homily, just talked parish stuff. i'm beginning to wonder if he does this all the time? i really wanted to hear his thoughts on the Transfiguration, but he said nothing about it. we went home and visited with my cousins and aunts and uncle and grandmother who stopped by. and for about 4 hours there was non-stop hide-and-go-seek and chasing about the house (by my five youngest siblings and the two cousins who came). my grandmother was astonished that i could do my homework with all that going on. and i said, "oh, this is nothing. it really doesn't bother me unless they're screaming." which led me to wonder why she thought they were so noisy -- heck, she had 13 kids -- surely only 7 weren't THAT noisy.... and then they all went home and i went onto phatmass. and i didn't start my paper even though it's due friday and it has to be six pages long (at least!) ah well, there's always... ....tomorrow, tomorrow, i love ya, tomorrow, you're only a day -- -- oh wait, it's tomorrow now. darn. umm, goodnight!
