Deb
She was a total moron. She would not swear on a bible (afraid?) but, she would swear on Harold and Kumar? How brilliant.

You were bothered how it misguided people...how they appeared to be zealots over what amounted to be fiction, in your mind. Would you agree to swear on the Book of Mormon, or would you take a jab at it's supporters & swear on The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy? Yes, we both don't like how it misguides people in our respective minds. However, I wouldn't swear on a book of Mormon because, in my opinion, it misguides people, and thence endangers peoples' eternal souls. Why should she worry if people are 'misguided'? I can see no reason why she should care what other people believe, if we're nothing more than a lump of organic chemicals all smushed together. Also, if there were people who truly believed that the Hitchhiker's Guide was a spiritual guide, I wouldn't swear on it, either, for fear of being an accessory to their disillusion.
