You are confirmed by a bishop who is Anglican or SSPX or something similar and after said confirmation that Bishop joins into full communion with the church, his holy orders are validated or whatnot (not completely sure how that works) and you jump on the pleasure cruise across the Tiber with him. Are you confirmed?
Anglicans don't have valid Orders. If you had been "confirmed" by an Anglican "bishop" you would have to be confirmed by a Catholic bishop.

SSPX do have valid Holy Orders. If you had been confirmed by one of them you wouldn't need to be reconfirmed. Same with the Greek Orthodox.

Only if they were ordained in a valid rite by a validly ordained bishop... which would be very strange indeed seeing as as the Anglican "ordination" ceremony is invalid...

Last I heard, this was a relatively recent change on their part? So there may still be a few "renegade bishops" from their old, valid rite (assuming a valid apostolic succession)?

The Anglican rite of ordination hasn't been valid for more than 400 years. To be valid the Ordination Preface (or at least the essential words therefrom) from a Catholic Rite (either Latin or Eastern) would have to be used.

So apparently not that recent ...

Hi y'all,
Sorry I even posted the topic. I was just curious because there is all this talk bishops taking their entire flock into the Church with them. I didn't mean to offend anyone or make light of a serious issue. I should know better than to ask these kinds of questions, by now. So, Mea Culpa and please forgive my ignorance. I am very tired.
Peace,
Amanda

Well, it would be very, very rare that there would be any validly ordained Anglican priest or bishop, and one would really have to do one's homework to figure out which ordinations were performed by valid ministers (i.e. validly ordained bishops) using a valid ceremony. Just so you know though, it would be extremely rare that one would find such a situation.

You're talking about the TAC. When they convert, to be real bishops, all the TAC's "bishops" will have to be ordained deacons, then priests, then bishops. And all the "priests" would have to be ordained deacons then priests. And all the "deacons" would have to be ordained deacons. And all the members of the TAC would have to be confirmed.
