CatherineM
If you've just moved, also eat some local honey. It has to be honey made by bees that used the pollen that is now bothering you. I've done that for years before traveling to foreign countries. I get some local honey sent to me about a month a head of time, and had no trouble with allergies when I got there. Balthazor
My sister and mother both say that you grow into allergies. I never had an allergy problem, and I grew up on a farm with lots of pollen and animals, but I find here in Prague I sometimes wake up thinking my head is going to explode! I am sensitive to the pollution, coal smoke and car exhaust more than organic stuff. And if I spend a night out and there are a lot of people smoking I can look forward to itchy, swollen, red, watery eyes...... I really hate cigarettes. Mercy me
I have heard that allergies get worse as we age. I never had them when I was younger but I certainly have them now.
