Ash Wednesday
So? It seems to me that I've had more allergy problems as I get older and I'm more sensitive to grasses, dust and pollen than I was in my 20s. Anyone else experience this? I hate the aging process. Ash Wednesday
The weird thing is, they were bad as a child, but went more dormant in my teens and 20s. An now..... I'm just annoyed and very grumpy today. They cut the hay in late August even in England, too.

Ash Wednesday
I don't think I ever could, because you posted the "LOL WUT" pear. I'd also like to know if anyone has experienced food allergies as they got older, too.
CatherineM
When I was a kid, our lawn was basically clover. Add to that my refusal to wear shoes most of the time, and I got stung my bees often. Each time, it got a little worse, until I stepped on one, and my leg swelled to 2 to 3 times normal. Now I carry an epi pen. I've never had an anaphylactic response, but I'm not taking a chance. One of my best friends growing up had just normal allergies. He became a hair dresser, and had an asthma attack from being around one of the hair chemicals, and died. I think the body is such a complicated thing, that we can never tell what's going to happen as we age. My pet peeve about aging today is my right eyebrow. It has decided to start going gray. I'm not terribly vain, and do have a few stray gray hairs on the top of my head, so it's not that. It's just so strange that only the right one is going gray, and it is turning quick. That would be a great prank though, combing someone's eyebrow with peroxide while they sleep so only one goes white.
Ash Wednesday
I'm really sorry to hear about your friend! That is really horrible. And scary! I got my first grey hair at 17. I have lots of grey. Fortunately I am naturally blonde so I can hide it, but still. Edited August 31, 2008 by Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday
That reminds me of people that get themselves so drunk and pass out, their friends do some unimaginable things to them. I've seen a couple of pictures that are so funny I laughed until my stomach hurt but I wouldn't dare post them on here.
picchick
Allergies!! I just finished working at an allergy clinic... You just moved right? That may have a lot to do with it. There were many patients I had who said that they had horrible allergies but while they were on vacation they had no problems! It might be the area that you are living in. Also, imagine your body like a bucket. You have all this stuff going on that your body deals with, allergies, normal functioning, germs, bacteria, stress...well when one of those things gets out of balance the bucket overflows and things start to pour out. You are getting married and have a lot of stuff going on that is adding stress to your body. So basically your body's bucket is spilling out and your allergies that were under control is showing and irritating you. Mine was bad and then they disappeared and then recently came back. I am hoping that I can get rid of them. Right now I am taking Claritin D and doing saline rinses. Sometimes the saline rinses really help because it gets rid of all the pollen sitting on your nose hairs and in your sinuses. Prayers, Meg
Ash Wednesday
Thanks Meg! Awesome post. I do wonder if there's just a lot of junk floating around in the English air that I'm not used to and should see an allergy clinic here.

I did know a girl who lived in London for a bit and said that the air was pretty dirty so that might have something to do with it too (I am not bashing England...there are cities here that are the same) Again, Prayers!!
