Clinton did what the Obama people should have done earlier this afternoon--she congratulated Governor Palin. (Which is what the Obama people would have done, btw, if they had been smart and taken Clinton as the running mate).

(CNN) – Hillary Clinton praised the historic nature of John McCain's vice presidential selection in a brief statement released Friday that was eagerly anticipated by both presidential campaigns.

“We should all be proud of Governor Sarah Palin's historic nomination, and I congratulate her and Senator McCain," Clinton, the first woman to win a presidential primary, said in the statement. "While their policies would take America in the wrong direction, Governor Palin will add an important new voice to the debate.”
She just gave a bunch of her supporters the green light to vote Republican. She knows that if Obama loses, she will be front runner for 2012. He has taken some serious behind the scenes swipes at Hillary. His people made sure the Sheridan in Denver wouldn't book her fundraiser. She loaned 4 million to her campaign that she now has to repay. Had she been put on the ticket, the loan would have been taken care of. She knows that Biden brings nothing to the ticket that she couldn't have, and it would have sealed the breech in the party. They may be smiling, but behind the smiles, it's personal.

This election is so interesting.

I am really enjoying reading what is happening. Thank you all for the news.

The Bush's and Clinton's are great friends, so there is a tie between those two families, and therefore they have ties to the Republican Party.

You get this upstart little Obama come on in, and he upsets what the natural order of things are, but Obama has hollywoods support, and therefore the people think he's going to be just great.

But that upsets Hillary, because she probably feels she should lead the party, and it was kinda going that way, until Obama came in.

Knowing McCain's foreign policies, I see much of the same.

Maybe that is what is happening. Obama is a very popular air head. What happens in these things, people talk. After people start to see how much of an air head that Obama is, they will stop supporting him, and ask themselves, what is he bringing to the Table.

Reminds me of High School. Some jock went up for Vice President of the Student Council, and did this school pride cheer, but I went, what is he going to do for our school? i started talking, and soon everybody was agreeing with me.

Maybe, that's all we need to do in this election, ask, what is Obama really going to do to help America. . .

Might be a grass roots way to get the movement started to nullify him.

Remember, you guys are counting on things like Palin to jump start the process to help win voters. You have the power to bring someone in power. If you agree with him so much, get out and start the attack, to make sure that Obama doesn't get elected!

You are the power! Not those stuffy politicians!

Affirmative Action.

His volume 104 is the least cited in 20 years. Not much to brag about there.

I agree. The scuttlebutt is that Michelle O hates Bill and Hillary.

Hey, getting something published is a qualifier to be President of the US... You're the one who's kidding, right?

It's not a good sign when a candidate's supporters have to reach and grasp at straws like this.
